Josh Sponheim grew up on his family farm near Osage, IA. Josh graduated from Iowa State University in 2004 with degrees in Agricultural Studies and Agronomy. Josh spent 7 years working in Agronomy retail in both the Cooperative and privately owned Ag businesses. In 2012, Josh began working in the Precision Ag department for a Cooperative in East Central Iowa. Wanting to be back on the family farm, Josh made the jump to Premier Crop Systems in 2014, continuing to do Precision Ag. Now, Josh farms and works with his father Dean operating Sponheim Sales and Service.
Josh Sponheim and his father Dean are partially responsible for ReEnvision Ag. It was Dean who initially talked to Jayson about no-till and cover crops. Leading Jayson to a Beginning Farmer contract with the NRCS to establish the practices on his farm. The Sponheims provided custom strip tilling and cover crop seeding to Ryner Farms beginning in 2016. From learning about these systems and the challenges that current equipment face in the high residue and green cover crops is where ReEnvision Ag was born.
